What we collect
- When you contact us: your name, telephone number, email address, property address and whatever you tell us about the work you need.
- When we quote or carry out work: details of your property and heating system, survey measurements, photographs of the installation, and records of what we fitted and commissioned.
- When we apply for a grant on your behalf: the information the Boiler Upgrade Scheme requires, including proof of ownership and property details.
- When you use this website: basic technical information such as your IP address and pages visited, collected by our hosting provider and any analytics or chat tools we use.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
- To answer your enquiry and prepare a quotation — our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
- To carry out work you have agreed — performance of our contract with you.
- To meet legal and scheme obligations — for example Gas Safe and MCS notifications, Boiler Upgrade Scheme applications to Ofgem, building control notifications, and keeping accounting records. This is a legal obligation.
- To keep records of installations and servicing so we can support and maintain systems we have fitted — our legitimate interest and, where applicable, your warranty.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information and we do not share it for marketing. We share only what is necessary with:
- Ofgem and MCS, where we apply for a Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant on your behalf or register an installation.
- OFTEC, Gas Safe Register and other certification bodies, where an installation must be notified or certified.
- Manufacturers, to register your warranty.
- Our accountant, for invoicing and statutory records.
- Suppliers and subcontractors, where they need your address to deliver materials or attend site.
- Our website host and any chat or form tools used to operate this site.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become work: up to 12 months.
- Quotations and job records: 6 years after the work, for warranty, insurance and accounting purposes.
- Gas, MCS and grant records: for as long as the relevant scheme or regulation requires.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to ask us to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and in some cases to have it transferred. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
